Local municipalities are federally mandated to reduce sewer overflows, so each LGA (Local Governing Authority) has specific requirements for grease traps in order to reduce back-ups. Typically, indoor grease traps should be serviced every 30-90 days. Outdoor grease traps should be serviced after a maximum of 90 days. Check with your LGA to verify your facility’s requirements.
